LAKEWOOD, OH β€” A winter storm warning will go into effect on Wednesday evening in Lakewood. Nearly a foot of snow could fall in northern Ohio mid-week, and the city is preparing to deal with the inclement weather.

During snowstorms, Lakewood implements automatic snow parking bans on certain streets. In the aftermath of the storm, residents and business owners will be responsible for clearing snow from sidewalks around their properties.

"Lakewood residents are reminded that they need to move their cars off of the street during heavy snow so streets can be plowed," the city said in a message to the community on Tuesday.
