St. Mary Catholic School

Marietta Elks Lodge #477 will host the local Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Mary Catholic School in Marietta. Over three million boys and girls ages 8-13 will participate nationwide in this free throw shooting contest which highlights the Elks commitment to America’s youth.
The contest will feature divisions for both boys and girls. Within each division, contestants will be split into categories (ages 8-9, ages 10-11, and ages 12-13) based upon their ages as of April 1, 2026. Winners from each category within each division will advance to the district contest in Marietta on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The contest will begin promptly at 9:00 A.M. All participants must register at the contest site between 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. on the date of the contest. Admission and participation is free. Refreshments will be served following the contest at the local lodge. Any questions prior to the event may be directed to local Elks Hoop Shoot Chairman Jim Humphrey at (740) 629-4867 (cell).
