1. Marion authorities seek two fugitives on felony warrants; one individual arrested (marioncountynow.com) — Law enforcement in Marion County is asking residents to help locate two wanted individuals, one for failing to register as a sex offender and another for aggravated drug possession, while confirming a third suspect is now in custody. Authorities stress that the public should not approach the fugitives and instead call Marion County Central Dispatch or the anonymous TIPS line with any information.

2. Marion Area Humane Society seeks homes for Howlidays in ‘Sleepover Program' (marioncountynow.com) — Marion families are being invited right now to host a shelter dog for the holidays through the Marion Area Humane Society’s Holiday Sleepover Program, with pickup available through Dec. 20. The short‑term foster stays help dogs relax, reveal their personalities, and may lead to permanent adoptions, and interested residents can visit the Richland Road shelter for required meet‑and‑greets.
3. Marion Police Department names 2025 award winners for service (marionstar.com) — Three members of the Marion Police Department have been honored with 2025 awards recognizing outstanding civilian, officer, and supervisory service to the community. Property officer Amanda Adkins, Officer Michael Starrs, and Lt. Jim Fitsko were praised by Chief Jay McDonald for their dedication, leadership, and long-term commitment to Marion residents.
4. Missing Delaware man: vehicle and human remains recovered from Hoover Reservoir (marioncountynow.com) — Authorities say human remains found in a car pulled from Hoover Reservoir appear consistent with missing Delaware resident Trenton Rollins, whose case has drawn regional concern including in Marion County. The vehicle, matching his blue BMW, was located by an independent dive team and recovered with help from Columbus police; formal identification and cause of death are still pending with the Montgomery County Coroner.
