• Kings Island announces 2026 opening day (local12.com) — Kings Island in Mason has set April 18, 2026 as opening day, with a special sneak-preview night for season pass holders on April 17. The park will open mainly on weekends until May 18, when daily operations begin, and Soak City follows on May 23. Fans can also look forward to the new Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare dark ride.
   

• Bond remains at $500k for man accused of firing shots on Interstate-71 (wlwt.com) — A man accused of firing at another driver on I-71 near the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge remains jailed on a $500,000 bond after being arrested in the Mason–Kings Mills area. Prosecutors argued to keep the high bond due to the seriousness of the allegation, while the defense cited the 22-year-old’s clean record and stable home and work life. No one was injured in the incident.
   

• H.S. Results 12/10: Wayne wrestling takes pair of Wednesday wins (daytondailynews.com) — Mason High School teams had a strong showing, with boys basketball topping Colerain 65–51, girls basketball winning 61–35, and boys wrestling defeating Miamisburg 41–27. The roundup also lists dozens of other recent high school basketball and wrestling results from around the region.
