A Dozen Mentor Companies Benefit From Incentive Grants

Last year was a busy — and generous — one for Mentor's economic development department.

Results of an annual report economic development director Ron Traub is preparing for the city show that the city provided Mentor Incentive and Economic Development grant payments to 12 companies who met requirements in 2012. The payments totaled more than $1 million.

Here are the companies who received grant payments, though amounts were not available:

• Metal Seal Precision
• Angstrom Precision Metals
• DMI Manufacturing
• Sulecki Precision Products
• Benjamin F. Edwards & Co.
• Lincoln Electric
• Our Pet's
• Cleveland Construction
• STERIS Corp.
• Foot & Ankle Specialists of Ohio
• Confectionary Cupboard

The grants are meant to entice businesses to expand into Mentor and aid existing ones looking to make significant investments in machinery and/or personnel.
