Branden Piks Defends His Status As 3-Point Wunderkind
Piks became the first 2-time 3-point competition champion in Arby's Classic history

Cardinal Branden Piks already earned his place in the Arby's Classic's record book the first time last year.
Piks scored 27 points, breaking the previous record that was held by Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics.
Then he and the Cardinals returned to the Classic this year. In addition to which draws talent from across the country, Piks also defended his 3-point title.

While Piks did not break his own record -- he scored 20 points -- he did become the first 2-time, 3-point winner in Arby's Classic history. He was down 17-19 when he reached his final shot -- the "money ball," so to speak -- and he sank it.

He scored the Cardinals' 18th , which set the record for most 3-pointers by a team in a single game. He also made the Cards' 44th 3-point shot to break the Classic's record for most made by a team during the tournament. The previous record was held by the 2010-2011 Mentor Cardinals.
