Celebrate Dr. Seuss At Mentor Public Library
Kids can celebrate Seuss-A-Thon all Friday at the library's main branch

The Mentor Public Library will hold a Seuss-pendous celebration Friday at to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
Kids can stop by the library from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and revel in all things Seuss-per. (OK, I promise, that will be my last Seuss-pid pun.)
Children can enjoy crafts like building their own Truffula trees or play games like pin-the-mustache-on-the-Lorax. They can even make their own marvelous Lorax mustaches.

Meanwhile, the librarians will show video versions of Dr. Seuss classics like "Green Eggs and Ham" and "The Cat in the Hat" throughout the day.
And, of course, there will be plenty of Seuss books available for kids and parents to read.

And the Seuss-a-thon would be incomplete without cake. It is, after all, a birthday party.
In addition to Seuss's birthday, the Seuss-a-thon coincides with two events -- the release of "The Lorax" movie and Read Across America Day, the National Education Association's 1-day celebration of reading.
The event is free and does not require registration.
