If you own or live in a rental property in the City of Mentor, be aware that the City’s rental inspection program will resume this fall. Inspections have been on hold since the start of the pandemic but have resumed September 1st.

The program is designed to ensure that rental properties are safe, habitable, and remain attractive. These inspections can help preserve housing stock, protect vulnerable tenants, promote safe interior conditions, and assure that properties are maintained in compliance with Mentor’s Property Maintenance Codes.
