Friday is 'Cardinal Pride' Day in Mentor
Whether you're a student going to class or a citizen visiting a grocer, the city hopes you'll wear Cardinal red tomorrow
If you have a Mentor Cardinals t-shirt, a red polo or any other red garment, there won't be a better time to break it out than Friday, April 19.
Mentor City Council has declared Friday Cardinal Pride Day. The announcement was made earlier this week when council formally recognized the boys basketball team for bringing home a Division I state championship after defeating Toledo Rogers in March.
The championship represents the fourth state title in school history, accompanying 1994 boys soccer, 1985 boys cross country and 1933 boys track.
