Kohl's Shoplifting Suspect Is Arraigned
Philip Crouse, the suspect, has been convicted of grand and petty theft in the past
The shoplifting suspect that police was arraigned Friday in Mentor Municipal Court on a charge of petty theft.
Crouse, 47, of Painesville, was released on a personal bond and his pretrial is scheduled for Feb. 6.
Crouse has a lengthy history of grand and petty theft. He was arrested in 2004 and charged with counts of theft, burglary and breaking and entering and disrupting public service in Lake County Court of Common Pleas.

A jury convicted him and he was sentenced to five years in prison.
However, he got back into trouble when he was released. He was convicted of theft twice in 2011 in Painesville Municipal Court.

If convicted of this latest theft charge, Crouse faces up to six months in jail.
