Mama Roberto's Voted Best Italian Food In Northeast Ohio By Fox 8 Viewers

Mentor epicureans already knew how good the food at is.

But it looks like the rest of Cleveland has caught on, also.

Fox 8 viewers voted Mama Roberto's as the best Italian restaurant in Northeast Ohio.

It topped 82 other Italian eateries to make the annual Hot List.

In fact, the Mentor mainstay received the third most votes of any restaurant out of the hundreds that were nominated in the "great meals" category. Only Aladdin's Eatery, which has a location in Mentor, and Sokolowski's University Inn received more votes.

This is just the latest of several award Mama Roberto's has won this year. It received:

• the Silver Spoon Award for Best Italian Restaurant
• the award for Best Dessert and the Taste of Little Italy competition
• Lake County's Best of the Best Readers Choice Award for Best Italian Restaurant
• the News-Herald Best of the Best Award for Best Italian Restaurant.

In addition to its tasty Italian fare, Mama Roberto's has long been notorious (in the best possible sense) . So if you stop by and celebrate with a pizza, pasta dish or calzone, you'll likely still have leftovers for Christmas.
