Man Accused Of Stealing And Selling Grandfather's Guns
Christopher Campbell now faces a charge of burglary
A man is accused of going into his grandfather's house in Mentor, stealing his guns and selling.
Christopher Campbell, 22, of Orwell, is charged with burglary and was arrested over the weekend.
The theft is thought to have occurred either Dec. 5 or 6, Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien said.

On both of those days, Campbell visited his grandfather's house. A few days after the visits, his grandpa noticed that three of his firearms had been stolen from his closet.
Police went to Campbell's home in Ashtabula County after his sibling said he saw him looking through his father's closet. Officers found Campbell hiding beneath a bed, according to the Mentor Police Facebook page.

In turn, Campbell admitted to police that he took the guns, Zbiegien said.
Campbell was arraigned Tuesday morning in . Judge John Trebets set his bond at $20,000, which was not posted.
Campbell's next hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
If convicted, Campbell faces between two and eight years in prison.
