Mentor Board of Education Will Elect President, VP

The Mentor School Board of Education will have its first meeting of the year Tuesday evening at the .

Before the actual meeting, the Board will have an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. and a tax budget meeting at 6:45 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public.

At the organization meeting, the board will vote for a new president and vice president.

Then, during the second meeting, the board will vote to approve the 2013 fiscal year tax budget (which has been attached to this story as a PDF.)

The fiscal year tax budget is the basis of the district's request for tax funds from the Lake County Budget Commission and should not be mistaken for the district's spending plan.
