Mentor City Council To Vote On New Computers For Police Cruisers
City Council is also scheduled to vote on a new roof for the senior center and two new dump trucks for the Public Works Department during its meeting tonight
Mentor City Council is scheduled to vote on some new equipment for city employees during its meeting 7 p.m. today at .
That includes 25 mobile computers that will be installed into police cruisers.
This will cost the city $2,832 per cruiser, according to the proposed legislation. About $2,000 of that is the cost of a Getac S400 semrugged notebook and its warranty. The rest is for mounting hardware and installation.

City Council is also scheduled to vote on:
- a contract for a new roof for the . The city recommends accepting the lowest bid of $258,351 from Willham Roofing.
- two new dump trucks for the Public Works Department.
The city would pay $171,416 for the trucks' cabs and chassis from Miami International Valley and another $103,056 for their bodies from Concord Road Equipment.

"Upon arrival of these new trucks, equipment maintenance staff will review our older trucks and choose which two to remove from the fleet at that time," Public Works Director Matt Schweikert wrote in a memo. "Any truck being replaced will be well over 10 years old."

- Council is also scheduled to have two work sessions today. They will discuss drainage issues at 5:30 p.m. and Council procedures after the meeting is finished.
Both work sessions will be on the second floor of City Hall.
