NWS Warns Winter Storm Coming

National Weather Service says to expect 2 to 4 inches of snow Friday and another 2 inches Saturday

The sprinkling of snow the region received overnight is a harbinger of things to come, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologists say to expect two to four inches of snow Friday and one to three inches on Saturday.

Winter winds will make conditions even worse. Winds are expected to blow between 25 and 35 mph with gusts of 45 mph possible.

The snow and wind combined will make driving more dangerous than usual. Whiteouts are possible.

Additionally, temperatures are supposed to sink into the teens today. With the wind chill, the temperature will be in single digits.

The winter storm warning is scheduled to expire 4 p.m. Saturday.
