Photo Gallery: Mentor Football Team Joins Seniors To Shoot Pool At Senior Center

The Cardinals took some time before their rematch with St. Ignatius to play some pool with the members of Mentor Senior Center

The Cardinals football team will undoubtedly have a busy few days preparing for their .

However, some of their players made the time to visit Thursday and play a few games of pool with its members.

The players try to visit either the senior center, or at least once a month, said Greg Allen, a retired Mentor teacher who organizes the trips.

Sometimes, they help serve meals or perform concerts for the seniors. Occasionally they visit and the only thing on the schedule is to spend time with the people at the living or senior centers, Allen said.

Different players come to different events, depending on their schedule. On Thursday, the five players who visited the senior center were team captains , Regis Coustillac, quarterback and Jimmy Maffit.

"These guys haven't missed a single event all year," Allen said.
