Potpourri Fondue to Close Following Mother's Day
The restaurant has been open for 35 years

After 35 years of operation, Potpourri Fondue Restaurant will close in less than two weeks.
The restaurant will close its doors after Mother's Day dinner, according to a Plain Dealer report. The restaurant at 8885 Mentor Ave. opened on Valentine's Day in 1978.
"Honestly, we couldn't hold onto to it anymore," co-owner Debbie DeBernardi told the paper. "There's so much competition and things are so expensive anymore, we just decided we'd have to do what we have to do."Â

The business has been up for sale, but the DeBernardi family has yet to find a buyer.
"People are just so sad when we tell them," DeBernardi said. "They're concerned about how we're doing. There's been a real outpouring of affection.
