Teen Taken To Hospital After He Is Struck By Car

A 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car at about 11 a.m. Wednesday near .

The boy was walking across Center Street, near Lanmark Drive, when he was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet Impala, Mentor Police Sgt. Michael Kloski said.

The car was driven by a 17-year-old girl.

Mentor paramedics took the boy to Hillcrest Hospital as a safety precaution, Kloski said. He was treated at the hospital and released that afternoon.

The crash is still under investigation by police
