Three Injured in Crash on Route 306

Responding firefighters/paramedics had to extricate one of the drivers from his car

Three people suffered injuries after a head-on car crash Saturday night at Route 306 and Ford Drive.

According to The News-Herald, the crash took place at 9:48 p.m. The crash was so bad that responding firefighters/paramedics had to extricate one of the drivers from his car, Lt. Larry Verbic told the paper.

The Mentor Fire Department transported the man to Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland to receive treatment for a head laceration.

The male driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also transported to West Medical Center. His female passenger went to Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights for a possible head injury.
