'Twelve Days Of Winter' Returns To Lake Metroparks

The 12 Days of Winter has returned to Penitentiary Glen in Kirtland; and you know its tune, even if the words are a little different.

"On the first Day of Winter, the season gave to me, the snow falling on a pine tree...

Learn the 12 gifts that nature gives us in winter -- including hares a-hopping and snowflakes dancing -- while playing a life-sized board game at the park.

If you like board games, you can also check out Penitentiary Glen's exhibit featuring classic games from the 1950s through 1970s.

There will also be crafts, activities, a scavenger hunt and snowshoe rental.

Just today (Dec. 1,) there will be face painting from 1 to 3 p.m.
