Watch: Lake Catholic's Special Ring Ceremony

Lake Catholic sophomores received their class rings during a special ceremony and liturgy

The sophomores of gathered at their school Thursday evening for a special ceremony and mass in which they received their class rings.

Father Stephen Kaminski encouraged the students to let the rings symbolize how their school shapes them; and, once they graduate, how they will shape the world around them.

Kaminski noted that all schools teach the same Pythagorean Theorum and grammatical laws. He then hypothetically asked the students why their parents would spend the money to send them to Lake Catholic as opposed to a public school where they would learn the same mathematical and grammatical rules.

"They are sending you here because Jesus Christ is preached and proclaimed here," he said.
