Wind Advisory Issued For Lake County

Gusts are expected to reach speeds as fast as 45 mph

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area that does not expire until 7 p.m. this evening.

Meteorologists predict that winds will blow between 15 and 30 mph with gusts reaching as fast as 45 mph.

While fast, these winds are expected to be slightly slower .

However, today's winds will be paired with thunderstorms throughout morning, afternoon and possibly evening. The National Weather Service has said to expect up to half of an inch of precipitation total.

Mentor Schools are closed today. However, it has nothing to do with the weather. A teacher inservice day was previously scheduled.
