Year In Review: Our Most Popular Story Of The Year

Sometimes people ask us why news outlets feature so much bad news.

That's a tough question with more than one answer. Unfortunately, one of the biggest answers is bad news is popular.

Stories about robberies and murder tend to get more readers than stories about singing preschoolers or philanthropists.

And, by far, the this year was about Gary Stroud, the former Mentor police officer who is accused of killing his wife and hiding her body in the garage for several weeks.
