Meet A Future Leader In Miami-Oxford University: Julia Jacobs
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Miami-Oxford University is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Julia Jacobs, who are making a positive impact in and around Miami-Oxford University.
Julia, a senior honors student at Miami University, exemplifies excellence in academics, leadership and personal growth. With double majors in Professional Writing and Strategic Communication and a minor in Creative Writing, Julia has earned accolades like the Mary Jo Priest Award in Professional Writing. Her recent internship at Vaco in Columbus provided invaluable experience in communications, marketing and operations, shaping her career aspirations as she prepares to graduate in the spring. Julia also represents Ohio as National American Miss Ohio and competed at the national competition this fall, showcasing her poise and public speaking skills.
A member of Miami’s Honors College, Julia has held leadership roles across several campus organizations. She served on the executive board of Chi Omega sorority as a sophomore, representing over 200 members, and on the Honors Student Advisory Board the same year. As a junior, she was elected executive vice president of the Panhellenic Association, overseeing 17 sororities and thousands of women on campus, while also contributing as a staff writer for UP Magazine. These roles allowed her to collaborate with faculty, fellow student leaders and national organizations, including Chi Omega headquarters and the National Panhellenic Conference.
