• Oxford City Council takes next step with Amtrak plans in final meeting of the year (oxfreepress.com) — City Council has cleared the way for Oxford’s long-awaited Amtrak passenger platform at Chestnut Street Station, while also directing $1 million in ARPA funds to two local affordable housing projects. Council approved a major solar installation for the wastewater plant, adopted a new cybersecurity policy, and set Saturday morning closures of the Uptown municipal lot to host the Oxford Farmers Market.
   

• Oxford Township approves 3% increase in staff wages during December meeting (oxfreepress.com) — Oxford Township trustees approved a 3% wage increase for all township employees and confirmed ongoing health insurance reimbursement policies at their December meeting. Officials also reviewed road salt supplies, police activity, and plans for new radar and speed-sign equipment, while residents in the township’s electric aggregation program continue to see notable savings on their power bills.
