Big Bucks for a Big Bang: North Canton Looking for Fireworks Display Sponsors
This year's show is expected to run about 20 minutes and there will be 930 firework shells set off.

North Canton's fireworks are on the lower end of the cost spectrum compared to other shows in Stark County, but it still costs thousands of dollars to put on the 20 minute show.Â
According to the Canton Repository, it will cost North Canton $8,000 for this year's Fourth of July firework display. Some cities reportedly go up to $17,000 for the annual show.Â
North Canton Jaycees spokesman Jamie McCleaster told the Canton Repository last week the organization is still searching for sponsors for the event. Typically, the Jaycees cover half of the cost of the fireworks — which they purchase from American Fireworks in Hudson.Â
