• Jackson Twp. police charge man for shooting in The Strip parking lot (cantonrep.com) — Police in neighboring Jackson Township have charged a 24-year-old man with felonious assault after a Dec. 9 disturbance led to a single gunshot in The Strip shopping center parking lot, a place many North Canton residents frequent. No one was injured and no property was damaged, and the suspect later surrendered on the warrant.
   

• Pittsburgh Thunderbirds' Chris Graber Sets Guinness World Record (ultiworld.com) — A North Canton resident just became a Guinness World Record holder, giving local sports fans a new hometown standout to cheer for. Ultimate frisbee player Chris Graber, of the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds, officially set the pistol squat world record this year and now plans to chase more single-leg strength and jumping feats while continuing his ultimate career.
   

• Same product, same store, but on Instacart, prices might differ (texarkanagazette.com) — Shoppers using Instacart at the Target in North Canton were sometimes shown higher prices for the same jar of peanut butter than other customers at the very same time. A new study by Consumer Reports and a policy group found similar price gaps at multiple stores nationwide, raising concerns about opaque “dynamic pricing” and how algorithms may be quietly reshaping everyday grocery costs.
