Diebold's President and CEO Steps Down

Diebold has yet to name a new CEO after Thomas W. Swidarski, the company's president and CEO for the past seven years, stepped down from his position, according to Crain's Cleveland Business.

"Progress has been made over the past several years in many areas," said Henry D.G. Wallace, chairman of Diebold's board, on crainscleveland.com. "However, the board's judgment is that given the company's ongoing performance and pace with which it is delivering tangible value, it is in our stakeholders' best interests to make a change in leadership at this time.”
