On the Agenda: Little League President Honored, Zoning Changes & More

Here's what's in store for tonight's North Canton City Council meeting

North Canton City Council has just a few items on its agenda for tonight, and those include ordinances to change the zoning of three premises in the city.

Here's a rundown of what's in store, starting with the proposed zoning changes:

  • Council will have its second reading on ordinances that will amend other ordinances to change the zoning district of three premises. Those are the rear portion of Parcel 9208743 on Applegrove NW from R-2F, two-family district, to R-70, single-family district; 234-236 West Maple Street, known as Parcel 9200578, from GBA, General Business District, to R-2F; and the premises situated with frontage on Applegrove NW, known as Parcel 9208717, from R-2F, to GBA, General Business District, back to R-2F, according to the council's agenda.
  • Council members also will recognize visitors before they start reading the ordinances and resolutions.

Before council begins its meeting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, the city will honor Gary Giammarco for his 25 years of service as president of the North Canton Little League. That presentation starts at 6:30.
