• Residents express concerns after alleged incident on Election Day at Orange High School (cleveland.com) — Orange City School District residents are pressing the school board over how campaign literature was restricted at the Orange High School polling place on Nov. 4, saying civil liberties may have been violated. In response, the board has revised policies to explicitly defer to Cuyahoga County Board of Elections rules at polling locations while awaiting further guidance. Residents continue to urge safeguards against selective enforcement of these rules.
   

• North Royalton police union decries ‘sham' investigation into department's chief (cleveland.com) — A North Royalton police union is challenging a city-commissioned investigation that cleared the police chief after a controversial drunken driving arrest of a law enforcement officer. That officer, then a deputy chief for the village of Orange, was stopped with multiple loaded guns in his vehicle, and questions remain over why recommended felony firearm charges were removed from the report. The union is now urging state authorities to step in.
