Several Parma City School District buildings went into a precautionary soft lockdown but are dismissing on a regular schedule, with some bus delays possible due to rerouting.
   

• Parma Heights mayor said 2025 was ‘very busy and very successful' (cleveland.com) — Parma Heights wrapped up 2025 with major road repaving, a solid general fund carryover, and 30 new businesses opening around town. Mayor Marie Gallo highlights the nearly $1.2 million in neighborhood street work and the soon-to-open county library branch as key wins, saying these projects, along with stable finances, are helping deliver the streets, safety, and services she promised residents.
   

• Running red lights and weaving -- drunk driver arrested: Parma Heights Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Recent Parma Heights police reports include a Dec. 4 drunken driving arrest on Snow Road after an officer saw a driver weaving and running a red light. Officers also investigated a forged and cashed check reported by a Crenshaw Drive resident and an unauthorized phone account purchase discovered by a Meadowbrook Drive resident, both still under investigation.
