• Watkins High School students plant prairie as part of Licking Co. Meadows for Monarchs project (wosu.org) — Students at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala just turned a muddy, former soybean field behind the school into a three-acre native prairie to support monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Working through December cold and thick mud, Eco Warriors club members and classmates spread locally sourced seeds and straw, kicking off a larger 13-acre outdoor eco lab project that will include wetlands, bees, and more hands-on environmental learning.
