$1,000 College Scholarships Offered from Heights Rotary

Student Applications Due May 15th

The Rotary Club of The Heights of Greater Cleveland is pleased to again offer scholarship awards to graduating seniors from area high schools who will be attending college in the fall of 2023. Interested students must demonstrate a record of academic achievement and community service.

For this year, each scholarship is in the amount of $1,000, and the awards are not renewable. All applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis by the Club’s Scholarship Selection Committee. Each application is evaluated and weighted on the following basis: School/Community Service (60%); Scholarship (20%); Financial Need (20%). Interested college-bound students or their guidance counselor can secure the application by email, heightsrotaryclub@gmail.com, and complete the following steps:

-Submit the Student Information Sheet with authorization for release of application materials. (FORM 1)

-Submit an essay of 1,000 words or less outlining student involvement and accomplishments in high school service activities, religious activities, and/or community service activities. Also include any information that student wishes to be considered concerning the need for financial assistance. (FORM 2)

- Have their school Guidance Counselor submit a letter of recommendation and official transcript including GPA.

Deadline for Applications is Monday, May 15th. Completed applications (including transcripts, letter(s) of recommendation, and essay) must be emailed in PDF format to heightsrotaryclub@gmail.com no later than May 15, 2023.

**Please note that family members of Rotarians/club members are not eligible for this Scholarship.
