At 7 pm Thursday, September 8 join the Shaker Library and the Shaker Historical Museum when they present May We Ever Be United: Music of the North Union Shakers with Music Preservationist Roger Lee Hall. The program will take place on the second floor of the Main Library.

In 1822 the Shakers established their community, which they called North Union, in the area which later became Shaker Heights. Two hundred years later, you are invited to learn about these early Shakers and their music with messages of unity and hope and to enjoy some singing of Shaker tunes.

Come and learn about the music of these North Union Shakers, in the words of member Philander Curtis Cramer, “all united heart and hand.”
