
Hawken School junior and Shaker Heights resident William Mascaro placed second in the nation in Student Congress at the National Catholic Forensic League Grand Finals for the second year in a row.
The tournament was held in Philadelphia over Memorial Day weekend and the final session was held in the City Council chamber at Philadelphia City Hall. Â
The National Catholic Forensic League was founded in 1951, with annual national competitions between speakers from over sixty diocesan centers. This year’s competition had almost 3000 participants. Â
Mascaro is the son of Dan and Susie Mascaro of Shaker Heights.
