From Tee to Tribute: 4th Annual VFR First Responders Golf Outing

Join VFR For A Day of Golf, Gratitude, and Giving Back to our First Responders

The Veterans & First Responders (VFR) Foundation will host its 4th Annual Golf Outing, honoring law enforcement, fire, EMS, military, dispatchers, and K-9s. Proceeds fund mental health programs, scholarships, and lifesaving equipment.

When:
Monday, September 15, 2025
• Skydiving kickoff: 9:40 a.m.
• Shotgun start: 10:00 a.m.

Event Highlights
• Patriotic Vehicle Display – Nearly 30 police K-9 responders, ladder trucks, military vehicles, SWAT, and 40 first responder vehicles on display. Every golf cart will proudly fly the American flag.
• Skydiving Kickoff – Six skydivers launch the day’s events at 9:40 a.m.
• K-9 Chinook’s Appearance – Donated by VFR to the Euclid Police Department in honor of fallen Officer Jacob Derbin; trained to detect illegal firearms.
• Year of the Chiefs – Golfers paired with a Police or Fire Chief.
• Fundraising Impact – Supports:
– Mental health programs (Resilient Responders, Critical Incident Reboot, Howling Heroes).
– Medical care for retired K-9s.
– 15 grants (5 academic, 5 police academy, 5 fire academy).
– Academic scholarships for children of responders.
– Expansion of lifesaving tools like thermal imaging devices through a grant program for police and fire departments.

The outing reflects VFR’s mission to provide crisis intervention, scholarships, peer support, and lifesaving equipment while strengthening community bonds.
