• Sidney man found not guilty of assault (sidneydailynews.com) — A Sidney resident was acquitted of two attempted felonious assault charges in Mercer County Common Pleas Court after a jury deliberated for about 45 minutes. The case stemmed from an August incident in a Celina alley involving an alleged altercation during a child exchange, but remaining misdemeanor charges were dropped before trial.
   

• Anna Honda plant donates Christmas trees to the Sidney Salvation Army (sidneydailynews.com) — Families in Sidney who need a Christmas tree are getting help from the Anna Honda plant, which delivered a truckload of decorated trees to the Sidney Salvation Army. Employees first held a plant-wide decorating competition, then donated the trees and ornaments so local households can enjoy a fully trimmed holiday centerpiece.
