87-Year-Old Man Smashes Into Solon Police Cruiser on US 422
No injuries were reported when a man went off the road and hit a parked police car.

A passing car struck a Solon police cruiser around 9:30 p.m. on July 22 while the officer was helping a stranded car on US 422 West.
No one was injured
The scene was caught on video from both the front and rear cameras on the police cruiser.
According to police, the officer was talking to a stranded driver near mile post 18 when a driver in the right lane started going off the road and struck the rear driver's side of the cruiser.
The driver, an 87-year-old Orange man, was cited for assured clear distance.
