Distance Learning Program Connects Solon With Cleveland Culture Scene

Residents can learn about-- and visit --many cultural institutions in Cleveland.

Solon's Distance Learning Program will provide residents an avenue to easily connect with Cleveland's cultural scene.

This new program brings live videoconferencing to the Solon community, and then follows-up the learning with field trips to University Circle and other cultural experiences in Cleveland.

The City of Solon with the support of Carrington Courts - Villa Homes has been working with the education staff at University Circle, Inc. to offer this program to its residents.

Adults of all ages will have the opportunity to receive in-depth knowledge about a many cultural institutions and their exhibits, as well as performance arts events in Metropolitan Cleveland. Each month there will be a new series which will focus on a different topic and cultural institution, such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Playhouse Square, Cleveland Museum of Art, Natural History Museum and more.

There will be a new series each month which will include one to two videoconferences followed by a trip. Participants may attend one or two videoconferences and the trip, or videoconferences only.
