Fight Over Gun Leads To Domestic Violence Arrest

A Solon man was arrested and charged with domestic violence after police say he struck his girlfriend during an argument over a handgun.

According to Solon Police, the victim, a 35-year-old woman, was cleaning the residence on SOM Center Road she shared with her boyfriend when she found a handgun.

She asked her boyfriend about it, and he became angry. Eventually, he took the gun back and left, but not before striking the woman across the face and saying "We'll see what's going to happen now," according to Solon Police.

The man, 41, was arrested and charged on Nov. 1. He is being held without bail at the Solon jail.
