There was a house fire this afternoon at 33088 Popham Lane in Solon where Fire Rescue teams from Solon, Bedford, Aurora and Orange Village came to the rescue along with Solon PD! Nobody was home during the fire and no injuries occurred, however, the family dog, Cocoa, was trapped inside, but rescued by the Firemen that attended. Here is a photo of Cocoa being reunited with her daddy, Mel Hill.

The Fire Rescue teams were able to quickly curtail further damage to the house as City of Solon Service employees noticed smoke coming from the home and call 911. They also approached neighbor houses and suggested that residents leave their homes for safety.

A huge shout out to our Solon City Service, Fire and Police employees and our surrounding first responders that were all quite impressive in their actions this afternoon.
