Money raised will be contributed to the Children's Free Care Fund, a nonprofit that Howard Hanna has supported for 24 years. The purpose of the fund is to help provide medical care to children at all costs, regardless of insurance or the family's ability to pay.  Many programs in place for children undergoing palliative care are not covered by insurance and this fund is there for the families to use.

The money will be donated to four area children's hospitals: Rainbow Babies and Children, Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital, Metro Health and Akron Children's Hospital.

Howard Hanna has raised more than $7.5 million in total for the fund, including about $650,000 last year, Matia said.

If you can't make the event but would like to donate to the Childen's Free Care Fund, write a check to "Children's Free Care Fund" and mail it to: Howard Hanna Real Estates Services, 6240 SOM Center Road, Solon, OH 44139.
