Home Invasion Led To School Lockdowns

The arrest on SOM Center Road of a home invasion suspect on May 3 led to two Solon Schools being locked down, according to Solon Police.
Arrested and charged with burglary was Airrion Stroud, 19, of Bedford. He was taken to Solon Jail. Burglary is a second-degree felony.
The home invasion occured on Ayleshire Drive at about 12:20 p.m. May 3, when a woman who was in the home called 911 to tell police that a man had entered her home.

According to the police report, the woman heard the doorbell ring multiple times and then later heard someone enter the garage and shout "Hello?"
The woman was in an upstairs bedrooms, so she went out into the hallway, which looked down into the first floor of the house. She saw a man in the home. She went to call 911 and the men fled in a car, according to police.

Police caught up to the car and pulled it over on SOM Center Road.
Because of the nearness to Parkside Elementary and Solon Middle School, Solon Schools locked both schools down for a short while.
School officials said no students were ever in any danger during the incident.
