Lady Comets Basketball Defeats Mayfield in Home Opener
The Solon Comets girls basketball team blew out Mayfield 79-31 at Solon High School on Wednesday.
The Lady Comets improved to 2-0 Wednesday night with a big win over visiting Mayfield, 79-31.
Solon (2-0) was led in scoring by Martha Thompson with 24 points, Kristen Confroy with 19 points, and Jordan Bekelja with 10 points.
The JV team earned its first win of the season, defeating Mayfield 40-39. Chelbi Graham paced the Comets with 13 points.

The Lady Comets will open up Northeast Ohio Conference play on Dec. 8 at Shaker Heights.
