Man Accused Of Choking Woman In Front Of Her Children

A Cleveland Heights man is facing a domestic violence charge after Solon Police say he choked the mother of his child outside a Solon restaurant.

According to a police report, a 37-year-old man was placing a 21-month-old child in a car seat when, according to the 25-year-old mother, he reached up and began chocking her, according to the report.

The woman said the man released her after about 30 seconds and she ran inside the nearby Boston Market to call 911, according to the report.

Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services were contacted about the incident because children were present. Besides the baby, there was also a 6-year-old present.

The man was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was taken to the Solon jail and held without bond.
