Man Punches Woman In Police Station Parking Lot, Gets Arrested

A 46-year-old Euclid man is charged with assault after he followed a woman in a car to the Solon Police station and then punched her after an argument, according to a police report.

On March 23 at about 2 p.m., the man saw a woman driving a friend's truck near the Eastgate shopping center in Mayfield.

He did not recognize the woman, and wondered why she had his friends truck, so he followed her, flashing his lights, according to the police report.

The woman, who worked in Solon, told police she was nervous about the man following her, so she pulled into the police station on Solon Road.

The woman told police that in the parking lot the man tried to take the keys from her and punched her, according to the report.

The man was arrested and booked into Solon jail on an assault charge.

The woman told the police that she had borrowed the truck because she was picking up a washing machine.
