More Than 400 Solon Homes Without Power After Thunderstorm
A powerful thunderstorm tore through Northeast Ohio on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
SOLON, OH — More than 400 Solon homes are without power on Wednesday morning, according to FirstEnergy. Powerful thunderstorms tore through Northeast Ohio on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, leaving thousands of Ohioans in the dark.
FirstEnergy does not yet have an estimate on when power will be restored to a majority of customers. The company said crews have been dispatched to examine the damage and begin working on repairs.
Luckily, despite the storms, temperatures will remain in the upper 50s and low 60s for most of Wednesday. However, more rain is expected to fall on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The showers will not be accompanied by the powerful winds and flashes of lightning that came with Tuesday night's storm, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures will drop this week, according to current forecasts, and a light snow could fall overnight on Thursday and into Friday morning. No serious accumulation is expected but the ping pong effect between temperatures will likely distress the sinuses of many Northeast Ohioans.
