Is More Snow On The Way In Solon? Forecast
It's Winter Safety Awareness Week and the snowflakes have started. Will there be more snowfall this week?
SOLON, OH — The snow flurries that marked the end of the weekend will disappear for most of the week before possibly returning on Thursday and Friday.
Many Northern Ohio residents saw snowfall on Sunday afternoon, with some residents seeing steady flakes for hours. Luckily, many regions saw rainfall overnight as temperatures improved, allowing much of the fallen snow to be washed away.
Solon residents shouldn't see much snow through the early portion of the week, though precipitation is expected on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures could dip low enough to produce snow on Thursday night and Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The highs won't last though, with rain and snow mixtures signaling plummeting temperatures on Thursday and Friday.
This week is also Winter Safety Awareness Week in Ohio, meaning Ohioans should use this week to review all of their emergency winter weather plans.
“Winter Safety Awareness Week is the ideal time for Ohioans to prepare for winter and cold weather-related incidents,” said Ohio Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Sima Merick. “Take time to restock your emergency supply kits, ensure your home and vehicles are prepped and maintained and review your emergency plans. Also, it’s not too late to get vaccinations to protect yourself and family from influenza and the coronavirus.”
