Power Outages: More Than 1,000 Cuyahoga County Residents Impacted
After powerful winds swept through northern Ohio on Saturday, more than 1,000 Cuyahoga County residents woke up without lights or heat.

SOLON, OH — More than 1,000 Cuyahoga County residents were without power on Sunday morning after powerful storms swept through the region.
Damaging wind gusts and scattered rain tore through northern Ohio on Saturday. The winds brought down tree branches and power lines, as the National Weather Service predicted in an earlier forecast.
As of 9 a.m. Sunday morning, 1,074 FirstEnergy customers in Cuyahoga County were without power. Solon, Berea and Euclid were the three cities hardest hit by the storms, though there are scattered outages throughout the county.

FirstEnergy estimates that it will restore power to the majority of customers by 11 p.m. on Sunday night.
Luckily, the high-speed winds that wreaked havoc on northern Ohio have mostly calmed, according to the National Weather Service. Sunday projects as a sunny, calm day with a temperatures topping out in the mid- to upper-40s.
