Solon Election Results May 2013: Both Zoning Referendums Pass
Updates on the May 2013 local elections will be posted here throughout the evening.

Solon voters approved two zoning referendums on Tuesday.
In Issue 8, voters OK'd rezoning a 2.5-acre piece of land on Aurora Road. The land was rezoned as part of an earlier attempt to redevelop Solar Center. Now that Solon Village is a done deal, city officials want that land to revert to its older zoning classification.
In Issue 9, voters gave the nod to a rezoning amendment that will allow Liberty Ford to proceed with expansion plans. Liberty Ford in Solon hopes to expand and modernize its car dealership, but needed approval first from the city's voters. Passage of Issue 9 will allow city council to rezone adjacent properties so the dealership can expand its showroom.
